    First shot with my lovely new D70s. Its actually a statue. Its not quite a macro shot, it was taken as close as my lens could handle, fully zoomed in (200mm) and cropped in photoshop, so its kind of an improvised macro. Converted to B&W. C&C welcome.

    I like the shot a lot Zillah.Very creative and bold.Great use if shadow and light and nice to something different being posted.Well done.

    I'd take a little off the right side to bring the nose to slightly off centre and more towards the shadow side. This would give it a more sinister feel. Very good nonetheless.

    Ooooo, I agree with your description underneath the photograph on DA, I find it disturbing. I know it's only stone but I can't help being disturbed by it.
    I went to an exhibition in the gallery of photography in Temple bar years ago to see one of those as you put it "weird shots of foetus in the womb" and it put the spooks on me something wicked.
    Whether this is bringing back memories of that display or just freaking me out all on its own I don't know. But either way it's rare that a pic would provoke a physical reaction.
