No. 2 is cute, nice. They're not the sharpest ever but who cares, the 350D is is just fun to play with sometimes. How do you find the camera? If you don't have it already get the battery grip - its an absolute necessity with the tiny 350D. I pack 6 1300mAh NiMH batteries into it and it just keeps on taking pictures for days (tho the battery fuel meter doesn't like these batteries).

    Keep 'em coming!

Good on ya' for dropping in and posting and indeed you are welcome here. Pretty good shots and well cropped, don't be afraid to play around and experiment in PS though. Thanks for sharing.

Congratulations on the new camera ,nice shots.
I like the way the white comes through the branches in the first shot.

dang nabbit, just realised the third one got kinda ruined by the resize :( lots of details that are sharp, just appear blurred now... bah... anywhere to host a 3mb jpg?

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 10,520 Mod ✭✭✭✭5uspect

you can post a 1.9MB gif file

Did you reduce by some factor of 2? (1/2, 1/4, 1/8)? The 350D is great for that -- the number of pixels in both dimensions work perfectly. It doesn't prevent all fuzz, but it REALLY helps.

I liked the shots, esp #1. That's really funny. Focusing is bound to come back with time... and it looks like you've got a pretty good eye, so keep shooting!

Lol, space reserved and all :p

The first 2 are as you mentioned, a bit soft. Something made me smile about the first one though! :)

The third one is nice, but I'd like something really different done with it. As I think of it, flower shots are never too intense...Maybe a tight cropped pano crop would suit it.

Would you mind if I gave it a blast in the aul' photoshop?

Welcome, another "dutchy" on this forum :) I read your "My name is..." post. Good luck with the 350D, it's an excellent camera. I couldn't comment anything that hasn't been said yet, so just wanted to welcome you and hope to see more of your stuff in the future.
As Al pointed out, Flickr is an excellent site to host your pictures.
