Here's the link but i will copy and paste the message below. Now then, i like Sean, he is one of my favourite fighters. Much like all my favourite fighters this is based on the fact that i just like watching him fight. As such, this may be a little bit of nut hugging, but does Kenflo really want a man like Sean Sherk to be stepping into the cage with some ill intentions?

"I have been training MMA since 1994 and currently have 37 fights. I have been Wrestling for 25 years, Boxing/Kickboxing for 12 years and training Submission wrestling for 12 years.

Kenny on the other hand has 9 MMA fights has never wrestled before and has been training boxing for only 2 years. Kenny is a black belt in Jiu Jitsu? I have rolled with many Black Belts over the years, some legit and some not we will see come fight night if he's a legit black belt or not. Either way he's going to be eating a lot of leather.

I have every advantage in this fight from speed to strengh to experience, I'm better in every aspect of the game.

Also I fight better and train harder pissed and this guy pisses me off. First the punk backs out of a fight in August then he denies it. Then he wants to talk smack and say he is the better fighter and he will expose my weaknesses. Only in your wildest of wet dreams!!!

    Sean"

florian has little chance in this fight - its well known that he has turned down a fight with sherk and has been pressured into this as he knows himself that he is not ready but i am looking forward to seeing sherks title defences in the near future - th lw div is looking like the ufcs crown-jewel (for the informed fan at least)

I agree with you cmb, the UFC lw division is stacked with great fighters and potentially great fights.

I really like Sean Sherk ever since I saw his fight with Matt Hughes and then his fight against Ryushin Uekami(?) in pride. He's a great wrestler. Conversly, I really don't like Kenny Florian. From his arrogance to that pointy thing he does when he wins. So I'm rooting for Sherk to pound him out of it.

But I'm not counting out Florian yet, I think he could get the upset, I just hope to god he doesn't. If he was the champ I don't think I could listen to him.

Either way, looking forward to the fight!!

Remember what Diego sanchez did to Ken flo? I think sherk may do a better job of it

If ken flo wins by sub in round one i'll eat my hat (well my proverbial hat anyway)

Sherk versus Pulver makes me hard.

Kenny "worst nickname ever" Florian is going to get steamrolled.

    Now that's a quote

I have a nasty habit of passing bad luck onto my favourite fighters, Couture, Tanner (where is he?), bustamante. Let's hope sherk escapes:D :D

He was back with a new short back and sides haircut. The corn rows obviously weren't happening for him.

Sherk vs. Pulver would be great, though I'm not excited about it in the same way that Clive is...

Yeah when he beat Levens via sweetly set up triangle. He was meant to fight Jeremy Horn twice but pulled out because of personal issues, he hasn't been back since. And Sherdog/mmaweekly have had no updates.

    Guys,

How are things in Ireland? As a PBS -Strange Wolf training at MMAA in Minnesota USA I can can give you a bit of insite. I train with Sean 2-4 days a week. Ken Flo's comments only fueled the fire, probably like lighting it with dynomite. Dave Menne, Brock Larson and Nick have been in the house training. This past Saturday I was subjected to about an hour and a half of submissions by Sean and Dave when 4 of us showed up to train on a national holiday weekend. I also joined Sean on a cardio workout running the bleachers after the beating. His cardio is solid to say the least. Monday the UFC was in the house shooting video for a promo they will be running a week or two leading up to the UFC fight. Look for me in the background. Sean was in the zone so no way was I going to grapple him in front of the camera. I would have been severly injured. Its a fight so anything can happen, but my money would be on Sean.

    Scott

Scott that's an awesome insight. Could you elaborate about what you mean about not grappling with Sean while he was in the zone?

    That's class Scott!:)

I would have to say day to day training Sean is very nice to train with, he is a good training partner and coach. When he takes you down he doesn't just slam all of his weight on your ribs, legs, hips and injure you. But some times when he gets pumped up or is working some intervals or submissions he goes a bit harder he is getting in the zone. For the video shoot he seemed to be very focused and in the zone he was going hard but not full out. I have felt the pressure of intervals and thats enough for me. Anymore than that and I feel injury just around the corner. If he is in the zone I'm done for. Imagine an angry Irish pit bull about to fight a Northern Ireland miniature poodle. :D

Scott your Mixed Martial arts ability must be of a very high standard to be able to get on the same mat as Sean Sherk. Congrats! Unbelievable that u have the oppurtunity to train with such an athlete and although u say that he would steam roll you in a fight, thats no disgrace cos im sure that there are many people would love the oppurtunity that u have. What is a typical training schedule for some one like sean, for example a day to day break down in training - cardio - anaerobic, aerobic, grappling, boxing, muay thai etc. This would be a fantastic insight into training at the highest level!!
This would be a great read for someone with a real interest in the training element of MMA.

I think they took pitty on a shrimp like me, every group needs a mascot ya know. My fitness seemed to be good enough to pass. My grappling is just good enough to survive day to day. My take downs and striking needed a lot of work but are starting to improve. I'm not sure how much I can tell you about Sean training with out getting in trouble. But he did write an article that is supposed to come out in Grappling Magazine the October issue. I haven't seen it yet but look for it. He trains most days 2-3 times a day. He does all types of running and hits the weights. His disipline when it comes to eatting clean good food is incredible.

I understand where u r coming from, but ur achievemnets r g8 even if not at Sean Sherks standards! I will have a look at that article in the magazine for an inside look at his training mathods. Its just outta interest sake, just to see how the other half live.

On another note, I wish my name was Brock Larson... quality moniker.
