I'm going to book a flight to Frankfurt later on today. Its only 50euro with Ryanair but that is Frankfurt (Hann) which I hear is a good distance away?? Aerlingus fly directly to Frankfurt for 100euro.
Taking it all into account which would be the best option seeing that a return trip by bus to the airport will probably cost 20euro?

Bad mistake if you go with Ryanair. Hann is nowhere near Frankfurt its a 90 mins drie along the autoban from Hann. The bus to and from Hann will proberly cost another €50 take my advise if Aer Lingus is €100 go with them.

Depends on wher your final destination is and how tight your schedule is. If you're staying a few days it might be worth to fly to Hahn.

Have a look here. It shows you the buses from Hahn (around an hour to Frankfurt for 24 € return).

I went with Ryanair last year - a good hour and a half to frankfurt from hann
the bus costs 12euro one way 16 return - drops you in center of frankfurt.
I actually enjoyed seeing the german country side, a bonus on a cheap w/e break to germany...

Ah good old ryanair. What you might save on the flight, you will end up paying for the coach trip to your actual destination. :)

Hahn is handy if you're going to Mannheim or somewhere in that area, but not really so good for Frankfurt. If you've the option take the direct flight, €100 with Aer Lingus sounds very reasonable!

Gone are the days when I used to get €40 return (incl taxes and charges) to Stuttgart, oh well, no reason to go there anymore!!
