Paypal charges

    Hi All,

    I bought a PS2 from a boards member yesterday and paid €90 from my Paypal.

    But the receiver said he only received €86.59

    I have never used the "SEND MONEY" option in Paypal before.
    I only ever used it to buy stuff on eBay.

    Can anyone tell me if there are charges incurred for receiving the money?

    yeh there is a 3.5%-3.7% charge on paypal transfers.

    to be honest the seller should of been aware of this and shouldn't be looking for the rest of the money.

    Yes there are charges incurred. As the buyer and sender of the money this is of no concern of yours. It's the receivers lookout. Normally on ebay the sellers jack up the postage costs to offset the losses due to paypal.

    If he wanted to receive €90 he should have asked you for €95. Has the seller come back looking for more money?

    No, he has sent the package already - as agreed on adverts.

    I never sent money this way so I didn't know he'd receive less then €90.
