Alright, I admit that I'm on a complete infrared binge right now. Its the only way to make 90% of Las Vegas look interesting and the heat and light of the Goddamed Desert™ make its easy (compared to Ireland) to go out and shoot this way.

At least two I've put up here in the past, but the rest are new, mostly taken earlier tonight on a walk around the block I live on:

Been following your IR photos over the last few weeks and couldn't make up my mind if I liked it or not? [I'm not normally this indecisive :) ]

I'm convinced now, the tones and highlights are great. Especially love the sahara hydrant pics. the long shadows and tones are brill. What post editing was done? How did you get the blown out movement in the backround?

I've told you before I love your IR work. Now answer the flippin question :p

How do you bleedin' do it!!?? ;)

+1 for the Sahara Hydrant pic. Also the OOK pic - the IR makes it seem so 'otherworldly' and the there's the golden arches in the corner bringing everything back to reality.
I know you've probably done so already, but can you provide instructions on how to get this affect? Have you had your camera modified? Or are you using film and IR filter?
I really envy you in your location. I know a good photographer can make use of what's around him (or her;) ), but there is just soo much good stuff in and around Vegas - the strip, the mountains surrounding, Death Valley, Grand canyon, hoover dam, joshua tree desert etc...

lol, the workflow I use can be found here. As for shooting, I use a Hoya R72 filter on my Sigma f/2.8 28-70mm lens. Settings are typically 4-10 second exposure @ ISO 200.

If you're using a Canon camera, ignore what its lightmeter tells you and go by the histogram after you take a picture.
