GOOGLE MAPS question

    hi,

    i current use google maps on my site. how i use it is i have a link from properties to google maps where i pass the address eg:
    http://maps.google.com/maps?q=10+market+st,+san+francisco

    however im now using teh google maps api and it would seem that i cannot do such a thing - Do i in fact have to specify the latitude and longitude?? seems strange that i cant just pass in an address also....

    any experience anyone??

    Isn't there a call on the API to get the longitude and latitude of an address? It's been a while since I used the API, but I thought they introduced geo-coding in the last release?

    Of course, I might be imagining all of this :D

    The documentation should tell you all this. They have some great examples over there also.

    There is geo coding. You need to get the address converted to coordinates. There is an irish hack out there for geocoding irish addresses:
