Has anyone else experienced a recent drop off in reception quality of Channel 4 via aerial?

Are we talking 'terrestrial' reception here?

Reception this morning in Duandalk of Belfast seemed poorer.

    All the rain doesn't help

Seem to be having reception issues with all the English channels. I'm outside of Drogheda. Had very reliable engineer take a look at aerial and connections and all seem fine. Just wondering if anyone else is getting probs?

Looking on the BBC Reception site, there does not seem to be any ongoing work on any NI transmitter anyway.

Channel 4 is certainly weaker for here. Channel 42 on Kilkeel. It has somewhat faint bars on the screen going from left to right aswell. It's currently the worst of the UK channels.

No, channel 5 by far! :(

Well, afaik, there is only one transmitter (Divis) broadcasting five (analogue terrestrial) which may explain why it's weaker.

Unless you're referring to programme content, where the award for worst goes to ITV and TV3 regularly IMHO :D Anyway, that's another topic!

It's Black Mountain (the former UTV 405-line site) that transmits five on channel 37. However it's only 50kW, which is why reception is so difficult. I also think its vertically polarised but I'm not certain of that.

    Ah, thanks for clarifying.
