Not sure if I played this correctly.

No real info on villain, played about 30 hands at table, hes shown very little cards, when he did they were strong enough to win. Hes prob running about 35/10 although this aint a great sample for depending on stats.

    Game #3266928854: Hold'em PL ($1/$2)

    Seat 2 is the button.
    Seat 1: XYZ123 (US$155 in chips)
    Seat 2: gnasher8 (US$128.24 in chips)
Seat 3: Da B Man (US$56.50 in chips)
    Seat 5: VILLAIN(US$219 in chips)
Seat 6: HERO (US$278.50 in chips)
Da B Man: posts small blind US$1
Tushka joins the table at seat #4
    VILAIN: posts big blind US$2

    HOLE CARDS
    dealt to HERO [Qs Qd]
    HERO: raises to US$7
    XYZ123: folds
    gnasher8: folds
    Da B Man: folds
    VILLAIN: calls US$5
    FLOP
    [2c Td 3s] (15)
    VILLAIN: checks
    HERO: bets US$15
    VILLAIN: calls US$15
    TURN
    [2c Td 3s][5s] (45)
    VILLAIN: checks
    ANSEO: bets US$45
    VILLAIN: raises to US$180

    Call or fold??

EDIT: after 177 hands he is 33/14

I would be inclined to fold my hand at this point and my reasons are as folows:
    1. he just called u pre flop and didnt raise you
    2. once again he called u on the flop and didnt raise.
    3. he raised and raised big time on the turn which to me indicated he hit something big. Maybe 3 5's or even the straight and he didnt like t he look of 2 S out there and was not making it cheap for u if potentially u were chasing the flush.

Sucks I know but next time you make your bets more expensive when up against a guy like this 2 push him off the hand.

very often this is a set, seems this is the default way most standard players play a set.

Yeah id agree with this. If stacks allow it I will sometimes make the very same bet as the villan with a bluff if I feel the opponent is good enough to pass. However Villan has gone allin here so it would seem he has enough to beat your pair, fold in my opinion (or call just to see what he has :p )

you bet the pot on the flop and then you bet the pot on the turn.
    why?
do you not think that your betting should be different on flop and turn?

yeah , i agree, think i was screaming overpair. The guy could have had dog**** or a set and still got the same result. In the end i folded.

However, after playing another session with this guy I realised how poor he is and is an absolute bluff maniac :D I stacked him eventually, thanks be to christ. On the info I had at the time I still think the laydown was ok, considering I didnt play it too well.
