Just to let people who dont check their email know. I just got the following email from all-in poker.

    Dear Aidan ,

It is with regret that we inform you that All In Poker is to close down with immediate effect. Unfortunately our multi-level marketing model has not been taken up by enough members to make the business sustainable. Thank you for your custom.

The website and poker client will remain available to you until Friday 22 September 2006 to enable you to withdraw any funds in your accounts. Please note that after this date, any funds remaining in your account will not be accessible.

Deposits are suspended with immediate effect.

If you need any assistance with funds withdrawal, please contact All In Poker support at support@allinpoker.com

Would not think so,at least they are been above board and giving people a chance to cash out.

The bonus is the least of my worries - i invested heavily in that 30% rakeback deal for the last month!

i played purely this month for the bonus or rake back deal

I think they have acted above board. I put an awful lot of time into it myself but at least they are being decent about it. Its a pity, it just never seemed to take off... I dont think its nice to joke about 15+guys losing their jobs though especially when they were nice enough to come here a few times and answer our questions.

agree with you. they did some decent things, such as the online equivalent of the Thursday Fitz freeroll. Also they came up with an interesting business model. gave some other online poker businesses something to think about, at the least (although i'm sure they would have prefered to make millions rather than 'give other businesses something to think about'!!)

This is indeed bad news. I had been playing myself this month solely for the bonuses. It's pretty much the only site I play on these days so now will have to begin the search again for another site.

Absolute joke, not above board at all, they offered these bonuses+rakeback deals for the month and then shut down 3 hours before they were due to pay, pure greed, when Pokershare went down they let everyone know the story and then sent out cheques for as little as 5c to practically every player on the site - Neteller will only allow round figures so everybody would have had a few cent

oh, I thought they were giving a months notice.... I'll ask those questions when I get home Bohs...

If a company goes bust it goes bust.

If its a limited company I would just be glad to get my deposit funds back and wouldnt be too worried about bonuses, realistically they probably could have kept going untill they were past the point of no return and just folded leaving everyone with funds deposited completely high and dry.

I think it was inevitable the place wouldnt work. I joined up had problems cashing out and emailed them 3 times. Even metioned here and still never got a reply - with that kind of service it was never going to work

Seems a bit cynical if they pulled the plug 3 hours before the payout time...
Still, I'll be glad to get my funds back.

They shut because an investor pulled out not because they went bust, there was 0% chance of them going bust with the money they had behind them.

Tom - "It is with regret that we inform you that All In Poker is to close down with immediate effect"
They are remaining open for 3 weeks to allow people to withdraw their money

Ok, I dont have my mail here and I misread that. I didnt have anything to do with them apart from having a downline like everyone else but like you I'm not wild about the timing of the closure.

I changed from Paddy Power to All IN this month. I already got a bonus so I'm not too annoyed about the extra bonus. I had great customer service experience with them and they really went out of their way to assist me in arranging a fund transfer for someone else.

Paul Barnes is an honourable fellow and I'm sorry that it didn't work out. Personally I thought the multi level marketing structure was just too complicated and really only benefited the people who got in on the first month. They should have simply offered 51% back to the player directly.

If anyone else is offering a decent rakeback can they pm me? I must be nuts playing as many hours as i do and get nothing from Paddy Power. I like their software but they're gonna have to cough up 30% if they want me back.

'Whatever I said, whatever I did, I didn't mean it,
I just want you back for good.
Said, I want you back for good.'
