This is a hand I played the other night. I'm not sure if I played it right. I limped on the button after 2 other limpers with JQo. The SB and the BB complete.

The flop is QT9 with two hearts. I have the queen of hearts. Both blinds check. Next guy bets 10 and the guy after calls. Neither of them look particularly strong. I've never played with either player before so dont have much of a read on them. I'm sure both of them have some piece of the flop, either a pair or a draw.

What line do people like to take here? Call or raise and if it's a raise, how much?

In a tournament I def raise this, and probably do in a cash game too. The max is 50 so that is a good number to me.

    What are stack sizes?

id bet the pot here especially as it sounds like your in the SE and anyone on a draw will pay way above the odds! if you get two callers i pot a non heart turn aswell!

    Stacks Ian,
Well the caller deffo looks like a draw on that board.
If you raise here and OR pushes will you call?
I suppose depends on the stack sizes but because you can still improve im happy with calling the raise in position.

I would call here and re-evaluate on the turn. If its the SE they will call a reraise with 2 cards to come, but if the turns a blank and then you pot it, its makes it very expensive for them to chase their draw.

what is a blank on this board?
what if the turn is a blank and some one pots it ahead of you?
    this is bad advice.
if you think they are drawing and will pay to draw then why not make them pay and why make it too expensive for them to pay?
think about what your saying ....

Expensive as in their odds of filling their draw are reduced. Dont mean to chase them away by over betting .

In this case why not bet the flop and wait for turn.
As you said your self they are prob not going to pay for draws on the turn so what’s the point of betting?

I'd agree with this too, in hindsight it probably is the better option if they are drawing.

Well the result is a boring one because I potted it and everyone folded, but I feel I may have lost some value in the hand

well you hardly had a lock hand and with the flush draw out there, you did the right thing imo
