Usually peeps would remove the sh1t stuff that comes on a cooler & apply something better like Arctic silver 5. Just spread out whats there & you should be fine.

But not too much! Or it won't work effectively. A pea sized blob spread over it is what they recommend.

Ok, running into a slight problem. I finished installing all the parts, but the computer wont turn on. There is power going into it, since i can see the front LEDs turn on for a second, and the graphics cards fan starts up, then stops, starts, stops etc...

Double check that the front panel connectors are in the right place.

Have you the speaker connected? Remove the gpu & u should get 3 beeps. Add it and you should get 1 beep. Have you the ram in the right slots? Try with 1 stick of ram. Have you both 24pin & 4pin connections to the mobo attached?
    Check these things 1st

If that fails remove everything plugged in2 mobo (leave chip & cooler) & start from scratch. Then:
Add 1 stick of ram to 1st slot. Connect cooler. Connect 2 power connectors. Attach speaker & power switch. Power on. You should get 3 beeps indicating that no gpu is attached.
If that passes, add the gpu. power on again. you should get 1 beep.
If that passes you can start to add everything else, checking as you go.
Its a big mistake to connect everything and try to find out whats wrong. You'd never know what you might overlook. Hope this helps.

Ok, i'm gonna try this now. But one thing, there doesnt seem to be a speraker connector on the mobo. the pins are there, and the manual says it should be there, but its not (or at least i can't see it)

Speaker connector should be with the hd led, pwr switch, & hd led. Look up the manual. Connect the speaker connection from case to it.
Speaker connection is four pins long IIRC, but only uses the 2 outside pins on the row of four.

Ok, so everything is working now, but after the accident i had with the thermal gel, i'm more conscious about the temperature of the cpu, as well as the other temps. I checked it with Everest and its as follows, just after installing Oblivion and a few drivers/programs.

    Mobo: 40
    Cpu Core 1/Core 2: 44/44
GPU: 43 (The GPU VRAM is 53)

Anyone else have temp numbers from their computers?

Ok, and after 10 mins of Oblivion...

    Mobo: 44
    Cpu Core 1/Core 2: 51/50
GPU: 55 (The GPU VRAM is 64)
