Am currently using Nero but find it a bit slow and clunky especially when copying large amounts of cds. Got a quick look at Sonic yesterday and it seemed to be very user friendly and fast. Anyone any suggestions as to other recording programmes? Does not need to have bells & whistles - just a simple & fast programme suitable for dummies!

Why pay for something when you can get a program that does the exact same for free??

    Guarantee, money back, tech. support?

I usually find tech support for free software is better as it's often forum based and you get a quicker response or someone had the same problem as you and the solution is given.

What guarantee do you get with a paid product that you don't get with freeware?

And if it's free "money back" isn't really an issue! ;)

I'd recommend CdBurner XpPro. Its freeware. Very simple to use.

Why would you want to pay for a prog when the free ones are better.

I've used them all and nero is perfect.
It's as quick and reliable as anything I've used.
    What version you running?
