ahh its only a song! it doesnt hurt to listen, but Thanks man, it was for a demo i was making so i needed some reviews which and such, but tha demos done now. I just wanted to see what it sounded like to other people, im still kinda fine tuning the levels,a nd listening to it on diff stereo systems

+ its on myspace now, its a higher bitrate and that freeewebs link above isnt the most reliable - http://www.myspace.com/alanmckenna

That's a fairly big conclusion to jump to.

Personally, I was waiting for the Myspace link, as that freewebs just doesn't seem to like me at all.

Anyway, that's a pretty cool track, very laid back. I likes it, it's got a nice melody.

    It's not jealousy, it's depression. :p

It says on Al's myspace that he's 20 and has been playing 5 years. For a mere 5 years, his playing is unreal. I'm very impressed.

    I've been playing 15 years and I suck. :D

ah cool coment, im not that good! i can see where i need to improve my playing, i just record and drink beer, seems to work for me none the less :)

..glad u likey though, i had it quite a while glad to get it finished, its a wonderfull melody though, i didnt wana go too over the top harmonising everything, so i just done it in key parts, i find guitars and strings layered together sound magical

    + its 5 and half years :p

I like it, the last tune was better though. There seems to be dodgy bends in this one, but I can't fault you on the tone. Fair balls n all. I wouldn't be writing stuff for myself n all, so I can't comment much except to say, more youself and less satch. I am a perfectionist bastard though so this is a good review :) Keep churning them out and play whatever you want and ignore the critics (ie me!)

haha, now theres a proper lead guitairst like comment! and dont wory i most liekely will :) i cuda slided to get the notes completly on, it was rather arkward with strings and a fretless bass but id rather bend, maybe only a few bits slightly off :) msot people prefare tha other one, but they're competly diff

    Sweet

I Just a Podxt for all gutiars, it took me a while to get a tone that sounded really warm, nice, rich and lovely yet crunchy and overdrvien nicely with some sustain, i had to tweak and fine tune it quite a bit

But i seemed to have found my tone i like, and i mostly use it for my lead guitars on all my tracks. It has a wonderfull clean rhythm guitar chord progression that was never used, so i made it in the strings instead, Which seemed to add more feeling

i used my friends 5 string fretless for the bass, was a bitch playing the bassline upside down! but it was also put through the pod...

But im happy with it, even happier now since i remastered it a bit, and used beter drum samples :)

im workin on all my songs for my demo now before i actually make it properly
