    Has anyone ever ever heard of this being prescribed for treatment of a yeast infection? :eek: :eek:

    I looked it up and its ****ing prozac!

    Hate to stir the **** and all that; but this rang a bell with me.... It is an SSRI aka anti-depressant.

    Just a little pedantic point I'd like to make, SSRIs are not another name for antidepressants. That is one function they're used for but they can also be used for anxiety disorders (a wide spectrum of these disorders) and eating disorders (they can be used in cases of anorexia to kick start more psychology based treatments).

    But I think Indy hit the nail on the head there. I was wondering who would prescribe fluoxetine for a yeast infection!

    Unless the yeast infection was causing a lot of anxiety! ;)
