is it possible to get f*cked over by sellers in Amazon? I mean if you buy something that was used, so you are getting it off a user and not the company

I've gotten a couple of books from the merchants through Amazon. They were in good condition - as they were described. The books were much cheaper than amazon on that occasion even counting the extra shipping costs involved in purchasing form multiple merchants.

It *is* possible... but very highly unlikely.

You dont have to be a buyer on Amazon to be f...ed over. It happens all the time in the bricks and mortar retail business.

It can happen on the internet also, particularly for used items.

It all depends on the value of the item and what it is: eg books versus say Comsumer electronics.
At least that is the way I approach a new versus old online buy.

I have on occasion been sent the wrong book, with no redress:)

I have used Amazon Marketplace a good few times and have had no problems, as mentioned you could as easily get effed over in a bricks and mortar shop. :) You shouldn't have any problems.
