    It is a very convenient way of buying things from adverts and selling. I have been warned about giving out my a/c number though (fraud etc etc)

    Why would they have such a system if it was so dangerous? My mother has told me that it is very dangerous and warned me from ever using it. I'm only 15 so mother is quite a dominant opinion in my life. :rolleyes: :p

    Safe to use? Or not?

    Well as long as you have a receipt and keep a record of your transfer then there is no problem, you have proof of sending money through a transfer. Are you talking about buying something from boards or elsewhere?

    Elites: Can u and OP give us a bit more detail of the kind of stuff u are at so as we can see exactly what risks u are running.

    Are u buying or selling or both?

    Are u using an online banking product such as that offered by AIB or BOI
    Or are u using telefone banking?
