Ok, about 3 years about i built a Pc. Most of the interior was bought new, Mother Bord, Ram CPU etc, but over the last few weeks ive been having power issues.

When i shut down my pc, and if i try to turn it on as soon as its off, i press the power button, the led's flash for a second and it goes dead. if i wait a few secs and try again, the leds flash and nothin. When i leave it for 5mins and try again it works.

Now lately when im playin games, my graphics card manager is showin a power indicator sayng ive insufficent power. (Pic -01.jpg)

    Im runnin a AMD athlon 2400 2gig and 512 Ram, 6600GT card.

The power supply was taken from an older ATX case i had, and its 350W.

Is this just a prob with the power supply, and i need to replace it, or could this be something else?

Just pried the credit card out of my wallet and ordered that PSU. Hope it does the trick cos the last thing i need is a fried mother board.

    Cheers guys for your help.

That 1 only has 2 sata connections, change to a different 1 if you need more. Newer gpu's are using more power, so maybe go for 500/600w to futureproof. You could use it again when you build next. These makes are highly recommended: Antec, Ocz, Seasonic, Hiper.

Ok guys, well i havent had the insufficent power message from my graphics card, but im still having issues with abrupt shutdowns and waiting 5-10 mins to restart my machine. I wondering if it could be a problem with the case it self and the power button. I bought the case last year and I now remember that some of my power issue began after i got it.

its a Antec Centurion that i got of komplett.ie with no PSU.

Or could it be somethin as simple and not enough power in my sockets in my room.

    Matt
