    Hi,
Myself, hubby and 15 year old son are travelling to the Algarve on Sept 21st for a week. Neither hubby nor I play golf but the 15-year old is a mad keen golfer who's been playing for the past 3 years and would love to get in a game, if that's possible. My question is, is there any point in bringing his clubs? Would he get a game? (not being part of a group) Would it be expensive? His handicap is 18. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you're staying in a hotel most of them can organise golf at a discount. If not, it might be more difficult to organise a game for 1 person.

A google search for Algarve golf will yield a lot of info, including prices and tee time booking.

He will need to bring a handicap certificate. They almost always ask to see it.
