How Would you play this??

Playin live in Dundalk Casino, anyone who has played there would have heard of how loosey goosey it is, and if you have a few buyins with you then you will inevitably ride the bacd luck and your AK will hold out against KJo etc . . .

The night in particular i was playing was after having been in the fitz scalps 2 weeks ago (playin at ur table reggie, at start and end, (ur A10 v my 22), and decided to stop in to see if there was a game, turned my 100 buy in into 300 odd, and then eventually got out drawn in a few hands down to 190 or so.

The hand in question was me on the button, i look down to QQ and have recently bn raising with and showing rubbish, i pot it to 18/20 get 4 callers. immediately i can rule out KK and AA on the table, and perhaps even JJ and 10,10 as they all tend to get extremely excited with these pkt pairs.
Flop comes down AKQ, two spades. checked round to mid positon who is very unpredicatable and plays the same cards diff everytime he gets them, but normally shouts his favourite word "pot" wen he has a hand. He bets 10, and with any normal player this would stink of a monster, but on this table it could easily be A10, AK, KQ, or a flush draw . . . .Another player folds, and it u on button, orignal checker, and mr 10 euro's

What is your next action from here?
How would you play this hand against an average main table in the fitz cash?
How would you play it with regards to the above described table?

say pot!! you hav a set granted but its a very dangerous board and you dont want many ppl seeing a cheap turn... you could get a bit clever seeing as you have the button but i wouldnt advice it on that board

As far as I'm concerned when I see that flop I decide that I'm felting this hand almost no matter what happens. So basically the problem here is figuring out the best way to get your money in. These guys will put their stacks in with Ax on this flop so thats what I'm going to assume he has and try to get my money in.

    1) Raise. The pot sounds like it's about €100 at this stage. You don't give stacks but I'm making it as much as I think he will call. Probably €80 or whatever.

    2) I've never played in the Fits buit probably no different.

heh heh, i was at the table when this hand occured. i can't believe you're still thinking about it now :D

there's NO WAY any player is folding a set in this situation (especially at this table which is full of complete maniacs who could hold ANY 2 cards). if you fold this even after the way he played it you're losing money in the long run. its that simple. you have only one action - POT!!

lol, let it go donal man, let it go....;)

Ah tis you Donal a sneaky boardster didn't know that. Have you been playing this game long yourself staringelf ?? I thought the game had more of less died of late ??

Edit :Just to show how mad this game is.

One of my friends flopped the nut straight with 2 clubs on the board.
He raised the post and guy comes over the top of him and pots it again my friend has about 300 left at this stage and sticks it in obviously.

The guy didn't have any of the flop and after the hand was over started telling my friend how bad a call it was with the flush draw on the board and ..........he would never have made that call if he had of had more behind him ( lets say it was 1000 to call ) .

Not that it matters but to make it even worse the guy didn't even notice my friend was actually also holding the A of clubs.
I nearly fell off the chair laughing so much when he started into my friend for his play in the hand.

i rarely play there - i''ve only been a handful of times, maybe if i was out for a few pints and feeling frisky (but not in that way) i might head in and sit in the cash game. its definately the loosest game i've ever played in. NOBODY folds preflop unless there is a raise and i'd say 4-5 people see a flop on average (at least). if you wake up with some big preflop hands you can make a killing in that game just potting it every street because people are not folding and someone will always pay you off.

Just pot the hand and get as much money into the pot as possible. Even if you're up against a made straight you still have ~35% Pot Equity...

Charge any flush draws out there and hope some 2 pair, TP hands play for stacks....

Glad that seems to be the opinion, because i potted it when it got to me, jus too scary of a board, and getting paid in this place is no problem whatsoever. Turns out the guy who originally raised ten re-potted it, so i found myself calling now pretty sure (not 100% sum jokers there!) i was facing J10 (a made str8). so i had had seven outs on the flop and 10 on the turn for a house.
I was wondering was there another way to play this, should i have ever considered folding? Could i have flat called to the river and only lost 80-100? (i hate both these plays, just asking advise)
The reason i asked about the location is that in the main table in the fitz the standard is better, and perhaps the 10€ bet would stink of a made str8 but i suppose its jus one of them hands that you go broke on.
Cheers paddy, i really need to leave it behind me! OPR whats ur name?
oh the secrets now out, easiet cash game in Leinster, so if you hear of a big night ~(large tournie were ud b guaranteed numbers) its highly recomended to take the trip down.

If people are willing to put all their money in this hand with alot more then the made straight then you should never be thinking of folding.
