    I got one from dell about 3-4weeks ago, it’s a Rev A02,

They are an incredible piece of kit, I tried it with some sample WMV HD files it displays full screen motion video excellently, have not done any gaming with it yet – waiting for a core 2 duo!!

And with Photoshop, you have just so much free area to work with.

I think dell have them now for 850eur which is 25% off, I am very happy with mine!

    Thanks for that JohnFlan.

I am wondering when playing a 1600x1200 or 1280x1024 game/movie/app in fullscreen, if the monitor tries to stretch it or keeps the dimensions and displayed in a boxed display (ie black bars)

    Thanks
    James.

I returned my A02 today for a refund after having it a couple of weeks. The A02s (& A01s) have a banding problem (which would be irriating using photoshop), which is supposed to be fixed with the A03 revision. Video playback wasn't the best due to the banding problems and doesn't look as good as it did on my old 19" CRT. It was fine for gaming, though I'd recommend a decent video card(s) as the optimal resolution is 1920 x 1200. There's supposed to be a problem with the component inputs which may or may not be fixed with the A03 revision.

It was tough to go back to my old 19" CRT, but I think I'll wait for the next generation of WS LCDs.

Check out the Dell monitor support forum and widescreen gaming forum for lots of info on banding & the 2407 in general.
