Anyone know how to lock MP3 input?

I want to test an idea I have that involves distributing multiple MP3 players - with my own audio material. I need to know if it is possible to have access to the MP3 player restricted to only play the audio I wish to upload. In otherwords, if I give away a load of MP3 players I want to be assured those who recieve them cannot use them for any other reason but to listen to the audio I have selected for them.

Incredibly unlikely. Why don't you just give away CD's? Much cheaper, you know...

As above, give out CD's which are much less hassle and expense. Your success shouldn't require a gimmick if the product is worth listening to. You could just physically disable the MP3 player - a bit of solder or something into the USB port.

I need the end user to be in a position to have access on the move to a few hours of audio, and search a detailed index of in excess of over 100 tracks while on the move. Mp3 player can do this in a compact fashion, I don't think CDs and a CD player can.

The CD has served us well, thankfully those who helped develop uses for it all those years ago did not think of it as a gimmick, nor did they believe that stuff worth listening to should be confined to the technology of the day - the record palyer.

Looking ahead, neatly blocking the Mp3's USB port is a possibility, thanks.
