Im looking to buy a digital camera. I started off on a Fuji A205S which i got as a present. Its a bit big, and the speed of being able to take pictures one after the other was way too long, but other than that it was ok, although now i am looking to upgrade. Where is the best place, in Dublin, to buy a middle of the road camera?? Anywhere sell good cameras at good prices or are they all the same more or less??

Not in Dublin (on that interweb thing) but I picked up my wee camera from pixmania. Found them prompt and efficient and so on. And more importantly, unlike nomatica they didn't manage to go bankrupt after losing an ordered camera in the post just outside the period when my CC company were willing to do a chargeback. Of course I haven't had time in the past year to use it much but that's another problem.

I'd recommend them based on one buying experience if you don't need to have the exact camera in your hand before paying for it.

as mentioned above, Pixmania is a good place to look. It might be worthwhile checking TechnikDirekt.de also. Some models are cheaper on Pixmania, some on TechnikDirekt.

I've used both and haven't had any problems.

Pimping your own sale? Naughty tallus.

The OP appears to be looking to replace a A205S which has dimensions 99 x 65 x 53 mm partly because it's "a bit big" so with all due respect and bearing in mind that I'm not the OP, a D-SLR with a bare body size of 142 x 99 x 72 mm is unlikely to be what she's after
