I ahve move to Tralee (don't ask why) and am already missing MTG. Is there any action in Cork...? Can anyone put me in touch with someone akin to Jim Brophy?

I play Star Trek CCG down in Cork, but I'll try to get you a Magic contact down there. It's played at Other Realms on Paul Street. It's a really nice store and afaik they hold FNM events. Their number is 021-4222224 and I'm sure they can get you in contact with someone
