Did you get some sort of tracking number with your order?

I am still waiting for my ryder cup tickets and i know where they are. DHL has them and DHL had refused to deliver to me unless i can tell them a 'tracking number' for my tickets. So, can anyone tell me how or who or where can i obtain such 'tracking number' for my ryder cup tickets?

The company you ordered from I would imagine have that sort of information.

DHL left a message on my phone. And when I rang back for my tickets, DHL said i need a tracking number for it. Well, i did NOT send the tickets to myself and how could i have the tracking number for the tickets????????

    Hope this clarifies......

The ticketing company should have sent you a notification mail to tell you the tracking number. If this has not happened, DHL are still obliged to try and make three attempts at delivering the tickets to the address they have been given. If this cannot be accomplished the tickets will be RTS.

I just got my mail with my tracking number, and am on hold with DHL at the minute. Naturally enough, the tickets cannot be tracked through their website.....probably because thay have not yet actually left yet.....but at least they are on the way!!!!!

I can track mine on their site. They came into Dublin early this morning. I expect they will be delivered today.

They haven't reached Scotland yet as they are still in Coventry since 25th August. RCTS have given me a tracking number this morning after I said I would be contacting BBC watchdog/solicitor ;)

Talked to DHL this morning.....for anyone that has received a track and trace number and can see their tickets on the web trace, they are on the way. If you cannot see the trace details, RCTS have not yet despatched the tickets as they are moving them on a phased basis. If you have not yet received a track number then your delivery has not yet been processed.

Sorry if I misrepresented, I meant my tickets can't be tracked on the site

    My missus works for DHL.

She has been delivering the tickets in person (well in N. Co. Dublin), in the evenings as an extra money earner. We had 38 Ryder Cup tickets in my house the other day  imagine how much i cuda sold them for! LOL!!

So the deal is .... she trys to deliver them, if theres no answer she leaves a calling card thingy and tags the parcel. The undelivered / unsigned parcels are returned to the depo, and are then sent out by the couriers in the vans as a second attempt. You can also call to the depo to collect them. N Co. Dublin's Depo is in Furry park Santry.

Im not sure what the 3rd attepmt is or what happens if there is no one to accept the tickets after the final attempt.

Hope this clears up a bit of the confusion! ;)

Got my tickets yesterday from DHL depot in Ballymount. I am a happy person now.

"DHL" delivered mine this afternoon (Maynooth). Seems to be sub contracted out to random people.

A foreign national driving a dodgy looking audi delivered mine.

Anyways, looking forward to it now!

I eventually got mine in Ballymount.
DHL tried to deliver them once to my office on Saturday morning (building closed) and then told me they would be delivered yesterday morning. When I rang them to double check, they said they were in Ballymount and I had to collect them. The tracking details on the web gave no indication of this. DHL are treating the ryder cup tickets differently to normal deliveries - i.e. they are doing a half arsed service.

Shoddy organising from RCTS and DHL.

BTW I saw at least 4 boxes of ticket packages in Ballymount, each with at least 30 packages in them.

Folks, my tickets seem to be with "the delivery courier" which would indicate they're here in Duiblin.

Question - will DHL drop the package through the letter box or do they have to get someone to sign for them??

    There's no one home today.....

So the tickets have finally arrived......to a DHL depot!!!:(
Some service being offered by DHL here, if you are not home for their one and only attempt, then you have to go and get them yourself. I suppose I should just be happy that the tickets are now almost within reach, but I have to go and get them on Saturday, as I am not able to collect before 9pm weeknights. There goes my game of golf on Saturday.............
