good dentist for partial denture

Does anyone know a good dentist for getting a partial denture in Dublin or surrounding area? As part of my orthodontic treatment I had to have a tooth extracted and they gave me a temporary partial denture until I can get an implant done, but it's a really bad fit - even though they try to tell me otherwise - and I want a second opinion, as this thing is driving me nuts.

    Any help appreciated

Any general dentist should be able to do this for you. Plastic only denturs always fit relativly pporly...maybe try a metal (cobalt hromium) one they are much better.

If you are wearing the denture AND undergoing orthodontic treatment, then the movement of the other teeth will have an adverse effect on the fit of the denture - every time the teeth move the denture fit worsens! Also, if you recently had a tooth extracted before fitting the denture, then the gum will change shape as it heals, also affecting the fit.
If you feel your dentist is receptive to your concerns, then discuss this with him/her.
If not, a second opinion is perfectly reasonable.

    Hi,

Please let me know how you got on with this. I had to wear a temp denture, plastic, before, and i just could not wear it. that was 10 years ago. now, i have to get an implant , and will have to wear one again for 6 months. i am dreading it. have they improved any bit over the past 10 years? Did you manage to get one that you could wear? Please let me know, or does anyone have any advice?:(
