I am trying to use an exec() function in PHP to perform a mysql_dump to save my database periodically by a cron job.

I run the following code
if(exec($command)){
echo "Command executed perfectly";
} else {
echo "Command error";
}
However I seem to be getting an output of "Command error" even though my command seems to be executed perfectly.

Is there an error with the if statement?

Thanks
