    Folks,
We need one. PFY type role. Galway area. Full time. Medical Research Company. Send CV to god@bmr.ie.

Experience would be nicegood, but not essential. If you are any way senior, you are over-qualified.

Salary. Somewhere in the low 20's. Will depend very much on the individual.

    Blurb here:

This role is a full-time position, based in our Galway office, reporting into the operations group. The main duties for the successful candidate will be:

    Unix server administration.
    Windows desktop/laptop administration.
    Firewall/Router/VPN maintenance and troubleshoot.
    VOIP telecoms environment maintenance.
    Access/MySQL reporting.
    Website hardware and content maintenance.
LAN/WAN networking, including 802.11 wireless networks.
    Helpdesk support.
    Vendor selection and interaction.

Ideally, the candidate will posses a third level relevant qualification, and have some work experience, although this is not absolutely necessary. A general interest in IT would be acceptable.

The most important aspects to any candidate are the ability or work on their own, and enthusiasm to learn. The role may/will involve travel to remote sites as part of normal working conditions. We have sites in the UK, Europe mainland and the US.

Try the zoo, I hear they have monkeys there.

You don't paint a very glamourous picture there... i.e. no experience, very junior, 3rd level qual maybe necessary. Maybe edit it to be a bit more upbeat.

    Sorry about the ambiguities.
    .
3rd level qualification is a must, experience not so. The job is for someone more a less straight out of college. It is a junior position, I'm not sugar-coating it and getting someone who will get bored pretty quickly. We still want to have this person with us in a year or three.

This role will be about getting the all important experience and learning a shedload. It's actually quite a decent job, with a fairly broad mandate, just not for someone who has 5+ years experience.

As for hiring a monkey, that department already has enough employees..... :)
