went to Zakanthos (spelling?) last year. While for the most part it is fairly 'British pie and chips' kinda place, we hired a jeep and got to see the lovely countryside and caves/grottos and picturesque places. Depends what you are looking for I suppose. There is shipwreck beach also, that is worth checking out.:)
