this is handy for me but self deal all the way for a €50 buy in is ridiculous.
    And 15 min blinds....
and no mention of the blind structure

not to mention the 20% reg fee
cr@p like this makes my blood boil.
I'd love to go to the EPT sat, but have a big meeting in the morning.

Will I still go to this knowing the brutal organization, hopefully not, but I've already gottent two calls from mates to go.

    I was considering going aswel.
Pokerscene and you post blind structure/levels as if they are 15 mins I'd hope they are pretty easy going.

Also Top 5 getting paid, is this going to change depending on numbers.??

    Dead parrot
Unfortunately when running Pub tournies we are limites with time in the evenings. We can only have 15 min blinds or we could half hour blinds and have a chip count at the end of the night which alot of pub tournies do. I hate chip counts with a passion and would rather have 15 min blinds rather than chip count at the end. If you have any better ideas please let me know as we are always looking to improve and feedback from poker players is important to us.

20 min blinds. I agree that two levels an hour is not great for a pub tourney, but jumping to four an hour is a bit much, if you make it 3 an hour, id say you'll geta better turn out.

What were the prizes this week, And are top five paid regardless or will it depend on turn out

We only had 12 players players last Tuesday [9 of which play with us on a weekly basis and who travelled from the northside ] so we paid out in full to top three and took nothing for ourselves. I will change the blind structure to twenty minutes to see if this improves play, but will have to drop 75-150 and 150-300 to allow for this.

In all our other tournies that we get over 30 players we pay top 8 at the final table. If this venue takes off we will be doing the same. Also i think from next week we will be having our poker nights in the sky bar smoking room. Which is heated and great fro smokers not to bad for non smokers as it is well aired.

grudgingly interested after pokerscene at least came back with info.....
Still, self deal all the way is annoying. I live up near the penny hill so its a handy distance...
I'll see how im fixed, wonder will they have screens showing the CL game?

i'd say they will as it is still a pub after all.
As for self deal, when it gets short handed in any pub game i've been at, one of the organisers will jump in as dealer, but this is only to get it over, not to be nice.
Lets hope Dead Parrot will be nice.
I'm think of giving my regular game a miss and trying this for the change.
