    Guys

would appreciate some help, I've got an old laptop running ME belongs to a friend of mine.

She hasn't used it in ages and shes now giving it to a nephew but problem is the cursor just dives for the bottom right of the screen.

It has one of those pointing devices in the middle of the keyboard as a mouse, i've connected an external usb but this does the same.

    Any hints ?!

    thanks

    W

Sounds like problem with the mouse drivers that windows ME is defaulting to,have you tried booting into safe mode to see if problem is recurring there?
If it is I would recommend a repair reinstall of Windows ME as its pretty straight forward and shouldn't effect the users files or folders.Otherwise give it a good virus scan!

Or if you can then upgrade the machine to XP as ME is so full of bugs you'll be forever supporting it.
