no idea how it played out but in the last 5 or 6 Roy Brindley and Mick McCloskey were both sitting on plenty of chips.

They split it three ways with the lad in the bowler hat. They took an extra 1,000 each and the guy with the hat took the title. Apparently the guy had a 6 to 1 chip lead over McCloskey when the deal was done!

Well the guy with the hat was the one who actually offered the deal to Mick and Roy. He wanted the glory. Obviously thge 2 of them wouldn't give a flying fook about the trophy. Extra cash to them is happy days especially when your man was the chip leader. I played with your man at my table for quite a while. TBH i thought he was dreadful. Him and 2 other players were pushbotting even with 35BBs. Fold or push preflop. They had no postflop skills and everyone at the table ensured they knew this. So stupid with blinds at 1k/2k, they were raising all in for 65k. Absolutely pathetic.

i watched this to the end. With 5 left, Roy the Boy pushed for UTG with 22 and was called by the BB(Paddy) with 99. 2 on the flop and Roy doubled up. Paddy was gone shortly after and also the player in 4th. a few hands later, Roy offered up a deal. There was 27,600 in prize money and Roy had 340K, Bowler hat 290K and Mick 245K approx. Roy wanted 10K himself and 8.5K for the lads (600 to the dealers). Bowler hat said no way, Roy was on the BB next and it was 15000-30000 so he suggested that seems how they are almost even, he offered Roy to take 9K and himself and Mick took 8.5K and they play for the trophy and the extra 1K. After a bit they all shook on it and played on. Roy was next out (cant think of the hand details) and then Bowler hat took a nice pot off Mick giving him about a 6 to 1 chip lead lead. At this stage he offered to give Mick 600 out of the remaining 1k and that he'd take 400 and the trophy and Mick said it was the best deal he was gonna get so he accepted and we had a winner.
