    Why is NTL so loud on the adverts ? Its incredibly annoying and I also thought illegal.

    I don't think it's NTL that's to blame for the loud adverts. They are just distributers of channels.

    THere was talk about a new law making it illegal alright, though dunno if it's actually law yet.

    This is an issue with NTL thou , as the same channels on SKY aren't as loud on the adverts.

    Highly unlikely to be NTL. American programmes in particular on, say, Sky One/TV3/RTE/ITV are notorious for low audio levels. I've seen this terrestrially and on Sky as well as NTL.
