just got one fo these brand new from the states. now im buggered me thinks. I think it may be broken. It wont turn on. it doesnt come with a charger just a USB cable but on one of the pieces of paper it came with it says "DO NOT charge your player with the USB cable until after you have installed the software."

eh how can I turn it on so or charge it?!?! Is it bust? should it have some charge in it when out of the box?

I presume it means do not attempt to charge using the USB until you have installed the relevant software on your PC. You do not have to install any software on the unit itself. Would suggest you load up disc onto PC and then charge the unit using the USB connector. Also there is a pin hole at the bottom of the player - trying using this if the above doesnt work.

Sorry I meant that the pin hole is for resetting the whole player. Try using this if you can get it to charge.
