Old pc, worth selling it or upgrading it

I want to play a couple of games, Noone lives forever2, and a couple car games like Flatout2 and Toca Race driver2 and 3 and Driver3.
I dont think its worth upgrading as i really need a new Cpu/Gfx card and moboard. I was thinking of buying a new Dell for about E5/600 with a tft screen and then just throwin in a decent Gfx card but then what do i do with the old pc? Would it even sell in the B+sell, might suit a couple who have moved into a new house or something? The pc is psyhically spotless and all, just gone old for games. Does the net fine. E300 or so would all i`d be looking for probably, shame to just fook it out or leave it sitting there. Might suit someone for a network, or an office??
I also dont wanna spend too much on a new pc as i have a decent laptop(wont play games tho) and cant really justify a mad pc. (I literally play games like 10 times a year) My laptop is a Dell and im more than happy with it so please dont reply slagging dell pc`s.

Should i just get my friend who can build me a new yoke to do so and use old monitor. I`d prefer to get a new monitor tho. A new pc is called for i think really.

Anyone got any advice or an opinion on what i should do? Also, whats a good gfx card to play the games listed above, im completely out of touch with computers and games over the past 2years.

    Heres its spec:
    1 gig Athlon cpu
32mb Graphics card, think its TNT2
    a 20 + 30g hd`s are in it
    384 ram
    17" monitor
    56k modem
    floppy
    usual stuff.
    Running windows XP fine.
It has a dvd rom and a Nec dvd rewriter too.
Anyone know of someone it might interest/suit?

just lookin at komplett.ie, and i could get the below for E619
I`d just need my monitor, yeah?
Makes my estimate of E300 on current pc seem extortionate, perhaps E200 would do, not too fussed about a price, just dont want to see it wasted.

The first PC of yours probably won't fetch a whole lot tbh.:(

Mmm, yeah not a lot to upgrade there really.
Upgrading the CPU brings a new motherboard... probably new ram aswell... then the gfx card has gotta go... especially if you're getting a PCI-E motherboard (and you really should, good AGP cards are becoming scarce).
Personally I upgrade bit-by-bit... eventually swapping out enough parts to build another PC with.

Upgrading bit by bit as suggested is the best way to go. The PC you've outlined there is grand for the games you've described, even without replacing the 6200, but that said you would want to replace that fairly sharpish if you plan playing anything recent. Another 512MB of ram too - Other then that, you're pretty much sorted.

The PC you're currently using is only worth about 150 max, but thats not to say someone gullable won't pay more for it :D

(and you really should, good AGP cards are becoming scarce).

And needlessly exspensive compared to the pci-ex equivilants.

I'd be very wary about getting an AGP/939 motherboard today. It may be cheaper now, but if you ever want to upgrade to play a game, you'll be f*cked price wise on the AGP card. Moving up to an AM2/PCI-E or conroe system will probably be worth the extra cost in the long term.
