    Hi Colm,

Why was the thread self-defence closed?

Yep, I saw what Colm wrote but it seems a vague reason and I would like him to explain it in more detail. (Or am going to get barred and this thread closed:mad: )

Just send him a PM and I'm sure he will be more than willing to listen.

No, I would like him to explain his reasons in public so that we can debate it as I cannot see any good reason for him to close the thread.

You're not serious Mike are you? This isn't a conspiracy against you and who you think are you board allies. The original poster in that thread implies she wants to learn martial arts to defend herself from her parents. That's an issue far beyond the scope of this message board to be honest. If your parents are beating the **** out of you (unnessecarily, maybe she's a brat, only joking) no amount of self-defense training will "fix" the problem.

Maybe Skateboard Dragon was implying that they could not help where their parents brought them up. Of course they were not given the chance to respond or to clarify their statement. Maybe they are not as articulate and their statement is vague and can be read any way.

Anyway, lets hear what Colm has to say.

personally i think it would be better for Skateboard Dragon to look for help on the Personal issues forum. That is if they are infact being abused at home as we here do not have the resources to help.

However if your right and they meant that the cant help where their parents live im sure they would start another thread to clarify this and again ask for help in that way.

However im pretty sure that this topic will be closed or at least moved as if you read the forum rules this isnt the way to voice complaints. and that is the same on most internet forums, as if everyone starts topics questioning the mods, the forum will end up full of them.

im sure higher mods check from time to time why threads are closed and if they thought it was wrong they would tell colm, at the end of the day this is about getting Skateboard Dragon the help they need, be it what art to do here, or where to get help in personal issues.

    Hi Jim,

Can you direct me to these rules? I read the sticky but I cannot find the rules you referred to.

    Michael,

If a thread is closed do not start another thread to ask why it has been closed.

If you want an explanation, PM me.

And yes, this thread is being closed.

    Colm
