Hi, ive just finished doing an mcsa (yeah, i know, waste of time, etc!) and i'm trying to get some work experience in a company with a network as every job i apply for (helpdesk level1 stuff) is looking for 1-2 years experience. I'd be willing to work for free as i have a weekend job that can pay the rent etc.
Anyone know of anywhere that might take on someone in my situation?

That's a pity, I could have used a young guy with an MCSA to help me with an exchange rollout, and we're not keen on spending any money. Finishing it this week though. :)

Have you any other qualifications, degrees, etc? The 2003 MCSA isn't treated with the same contempt as previous ones, as they've taken great strides to combat the cheating of the past, and unless you've a photgraphic memory you'll still need some cop on to pass the two harder exams. So don't write it off.

Don't be afraid to apply for level one positions, looking for 1-2 years experience though. Often you'll still get an interview, and many places will ignore half of the job spec if you seem like a worthy hire in the interview.

Thanks for the advice, i'll just have to keep on keepin on. Its just taken way longer than i'd expected to even get an interview. Cheers.
