C&C on pics please

    I took heed of some advice on the forums and tried RAW today for the first time. Attached are some of the pics I took here in Galway even though the weather was a bit pants. I have done nothing to the pics other than making them suitable for web and a slight crop on one of the waterfall pics.

    What do you think??


    EDIT: I attached the pictures instead of having them included within the thread - makes for better viewing.

    on no. 1 the thingy on the far right could be cropped out i thinks, lovely otherwise...maybe broighten it up a bit

    no.2 i like this, unusual angle and the slow shutter works well on it

    I like the composition in them all, I like the angles that you've chosen and that simple scene in the second is great - it's got some real movement in it.

    Since you used RAW, I'd be inclined to process it twice for the water shots, once to make the foliage nice and bright, and the second time to bring the water down and keep some detail in the white bits, and blend them together - at the moment, most of the water is really really white and there's no detail in there at all, it's difficult in bright light to get a long enough exposure to blur the water without overexposing, I think.

    I think the one with the boats (3) would look fantastic if you punched up the colours a bit more, too. The colours of the paintwork, the green on the walls, and the bright orange float are what make it for me.

    Yeah 2nd shot is definately the best but all look good.
