Help on activating Uk freesat card

I have just received my uk freesat from a relative in london. (They don't have sky) I tried to ring the number on the card 0870 850 0033 with 141 in front of it to hide my number, to get it activated but can't get trough. I assume there must be a code to get trough.
Does anyone know what the code is?
Also to minimise the time spent on phone to them, putting on an english accent,
should i have the card in already?
If so do i turn the box off first and then insert it or is there a specific procedure to follow.?
Should i have it on system settings when i phone them. Or is it possible for my brother in law in london to ring them and i just leave the card in, so i don't have to do my terrible impression of a english accent.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Got my card activated today.
Thanks to everyone who gave advice to the procedure. Just in case anyone else is about to do same. A word of advice!
When you ring the number to get it activated, before you are put tru to an operator, you are asked to key in your uk phone number and std code.
I just keyed in my relatives std code and first 2 numbers and after a very short pause i was then put tru to operator. who asked
for the model, card, version and serial nubers on system set up.
The name of the person who ordered card
the uk address including post code, i was supposed to be activating the card from
And if my phone was connected to digibox ( i said no, cus i'm using it)
Once again thanks to everyone who gave advice

Hmm, £70 seems a bit steep for a few channels. Though, I suppose if you'd nowhere else to turn. I notice those cards in classifieds papers from time to time for €50-€60 also.

its illegal to sell the cards. as they are owned by NDS LTD. thats why you dont see them on ebay.
