Those boots are gonna be animal!! :) Can't wait! Been a zelda fan since I first got it on my n64 back in the days... never played the gameboy versions, but still love it! :)

Excellent, the heavy boots are magnetic :)

And a proper look at those enemies, fishing and scaring someone as the wolf.

Also, the shot in the field with Link's little friend... makes me think he'll be Navi in this.

No, the boots are metal, they get attracted to the magnetic thing.

And that new character is not the new navi, as there is a fairy in the Wii version!

    Thats what i meant.

As in he'll be a co-Navi and act in a guiding fashion rather than shout 'Hey Listen' in your ear every three seconds.

Those screens look great. The quality of that lava and the waterfall screen is amazing for any next gen console i'd say. Boots look like fun as well.

It looks absolutely gorgeous. The lava scene reminds me of the stunning lava bit in Resi 4. Can't bloody wait for this game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,894 ✭✭✭evad_lhorg

no no commodore 64 is crap lets face it. you go back to them games now and youll hate the thing. it might have been great for its time but who gives a crap.

The pics look great and all, but is it just going to be the same old thing again? Find the tri-force, defeat ganondorf, save the princess etc.

    And.....so what

Majoras mask, no triforce or zelda iirc
Minish cap no triforce or zelda iirc

GTA, Devil May Cry, Halo, Mario, Pro Evo, MGS etc etc etc are not cashing in on sequels at all

I'd choose the same old zelda with new levels over any GTA or big budget FPS game any day of the week.

Also that thing on the wolfs back isn't zelda. Zelda is the wolf. He transforms into him a some stage in the game. The transformation is seem in the latest trailer.

    That's true.

What are people's opinion on the new controller? Using the bow and arrow will be fairly cool with it.

Link? I always used to do that as well heh.

My mates are always going on about how Nintendo just use big names and make cash-in sequels after sequels. They fail to recognise that every sequel is of the highest quality of gaming.

Oops  I'm always doing that.

So excited about this. Been playing Zelda since My brother got the golden cartridge of the first Zelda game. I have all of them from the NES to the Gamecube, including all the handheld ones. Love it.

I can't wait to try Zelda with the new controller. The bow and arrows, the fishing and perhaps some swordplay. No idea how well it'll work, but the beauty is that if it don't work too well, we (clever pun time) can use the regular controller.

It's sort of a double whammy of great things to look forward too - new controller and new zelda.

I love these games and can't feckin wait.

Does anyone know how different the cube version will be from the wii one?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,181 ✭✭✭✭Jim

Was wondering that myself.... I'm half hoping the games will be the exact same. As in since the Wii can play GC games you can just buy Zelda for the GC and if you (I) decided to get a Wii we can just play it in that but still use all the Wii Remote controls.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 237 ✭✭Cardinal

I think I heard someone from Nintendo say that the Wii Remote will not work with the GC version of Zelda.

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 52,408 CMod ✭✭✭✭Retr0gamer

I doubt that the wiimote will work with zelda seeing as Nintendo are releasing two specific versions for the GC and Wii.

Knowing nintendo both versions will have platform specific content that might not be really worthwhile but just enough for crazy people to go out and buy both versions...
