DSL modem + router + double NAT giving trouble

I have a ZyXel Prestige 600 series (660RU-T1) dsl modem and a Linksys BEFSR41 router that I'm trying to get working properly with Azureus.

At the moment I have a less than ideal double NAT situation, where NAT is enabled on both the modem and the router, requiring the same ports to be forwarded on both. This seems to work fine for most applications, including eMule, but Azuresus doesn't like it at all. I have the necessary port forwarded for Azureus on both the router and modem. With this setup, the router obtains the IP automatically and the modem handles the PPPoE.

To overcome this problem (and generally reduce overheads) I tried putting the modem into bridge mode and using the router to login with PPPoE. When I do this Azuresus no longer has NAT problems, ftp works great, BUT for some reason all websites time out in both Firefox and IE6.

When I put it back to the original setup, websites load up again no problem.

Does anyone know what's blocking the http stuff? I thought it might be because port 80 wasn't forwarded, but even with all ports forwarded no websites will load.

My dsl modems IP is set to 192.168.2.2 and the router's is set to 192.168.1.1.

    Any ideas?
