I bought the 1.83Ghz Macbook Pro in March, and I love it to bits.
As my work computer, it's been a dream and a half.

But now, I'm considering putting XP onto it. I know I have to get hold of an XP install disc, and I'm not too keen about forking out a hundred quid for it.

I just wondering does anyone know of any alternatives?

And what do people reckon about have XP and Tiger in one machine?

You could try asking guys in your IT dept (assuming you have one); they might be able to wangle you a cheaper license ;)
Other than that, OEM license is the way to go (IIRC, you still need to buy system hardware, eg. RAM or HDD, for one)

I put Parallels and Windows XP on my Core Duo Mini with 2Gig RAM the other day and it runs like a dream. I had Photoshop running on it like a steamtrain. Not that I'll ever use it - was just curious :)

    Hmmmmm....

    Thank you chaps...

I had a brief chat with a friend yesterday and he mentioned that he'd be able to get me a corporate edition of XP for free, which is apparantly legal and all that!

    So... Whooo!
