Old xbox and wireless network problem!

Hopefully someone can help as this is driving me mad!

I recently bought and set up a Belkin ADSL modem with wireless G-router. This is set up at the telephone point in the bedroom. I'm not very technically minded but managed (after much time and effort!) to connect 2 computers to the network.

My problem is I have an old Xbox in the living room. Rather than running the ethernet cable 30 feet, I thought I could get a wirelss adaptor but they seem to be unavailable in Ireland on the old Xbox?

I found one on Amazon.com in the US but they won't deliver to Ireland!

I thought of just placing the router in the living room but there's alot of through traffic in there and i'm afraid of it getting damaged.

Does anyone know of where to get an adaptor? Would it be affect performance for Xbox live?

    Thanks in advance!
