    Hi,

Our Moodle machine needs major upgrade, OS, App, Apache and MySQL.
1.4.1 version of moodle, has anybody upgraded to the latest version of Apache on Moodle, I hear there is an Authentication module that messes up the Moodle athentication (clear text, against DB entry) Assuming this can be commented out but don't want to find out ppl can't log in If I upgrade Apache first
-newer moodle supports better authentication but then I'll need to upgrade MySQL first. Just wondering what to upgrade first, anyone?

-ok it was a sly moodle question, it's on a unix box and if this thread progresses we can talk about hardening the box next

Not sure if its there in 1.4.1 which is a very old version, but if you go to 'Admin' and then 'Environment' it tells you how your server suits current and future installation requirements which should assist with an upgrade.
