Things to do in Ireland!

    Hi Everyone,

A friend of mine is coming over to us tomorrow morning. He is bringing his missus, who has never been to Ireland before.

As both of us are from Ireland and have done most of the tourist places to visit such as newgrange, cliffs of moher etc. etc. he'd like to show her a different side of Ireland. Away from the regular tourist spots.

For example, there's a lovely hidden village down near New Ross called Inistioge. Classic example of a small Irish village not overrun with tourists.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any other places like this that would be worth bringing an american to to see the "old Ireland" as such.

    Would welcome any ideas!

    Tom

I know Inistioge well, used to canoe the river all the time. Try and rent a boat or a barge and do some of the Barrow. Ireland really is a different world from the water.

I hope you all enjoy yourselves.
