    From the Irish Independent :
    IRISH farmers have been warned to take precautions following the death of an English farmer from rabbit flu.

    A farmer in Surrey England got infected with pasteurella multocida from a rabbit he had just shot (via an open blister on his hand) and died 4 days later.
    Cases of transmission from animals to humans are extremely rare and deaths even more so ..

    this is the first reported death suppposedly......still it makes you think :eek:

    Well thank god we don't have rabies in this country
