Help with 'extra' channels

    Hi Folks.

I'm having a problem tuning in ITV 3 & 4. I have a fta system with a metronic receiver (using an old sky dish) and when I do a blind search/scan the above mentioned channels dont show.
I read the the sticky above about adding them to a sky box, and managed to get ITV 2 by a flukey manual search.
Am I doing something wrong or will I need to find out the exact frequencies for these channels to tune them in?
If so can anyone supply me with them?

Sorry if this is basic stuff, but i'm new to the whole thing.

    Thanks in advance.

    Excellent, thanks

I just have a few more questions and then i'll go away!

Any idea why the box didn't pick them up on a scan?

What does the FEC stand for? as that option isn't on my receiver.

    Thanks again.

Some receivers may automatically figure out the FEC (Forward Error Correction) so don't worry about that.

As for why the scan didn't work, I'm not sure.

Might it be useful to expand Charles' sticky to include info for digiboxes and FTA boxes?

    10773 V SR 22000 FEC 5/6

BBC1 London, BBC1 NI, BBC2 England, BBC Three, CBBC, BBC News 24, BBC Four, CBeebies.

    10729 V SR 22000 FEC 5/6

    Film 4, Film 4+1.

AFAICS all other TPs are already in the sticky.
