Does anyone know what the contact details for the Waterford Branch of the ManU supporters club are? One soccer mad young man would love to go to a game and all help would be gratefully appreciated

    TIA

There is a travel agents in Limerick that specialise in deals to Premiership games, a mate of mine uses them regularly to go to Liverpool games.. I'll try and find out the details and pm them to you.

Someone on UTD said he often flies out from Waterford to Man Utd. games and it's very handy.

Thanks I was told that if you become a member of the Waterford Branch of the ManU supporters club that you can get tickets but my son wants to join the club.
I'll look into every option but would like to get tickets to a game for his birthday present in the autumn

I think there used to be a guy (Ray?) working in the Esso at Ardkeen Stores who was involved in running trips to Man U. Possibly involved in supporters club?

Thanks I think I remember the guy in Ardkeen. I must keep an eye out for him but with the petrol station closed I doubt I'll see him

I'll ask my son's coach tomorrow as he's been coaching for years and is also involved in the school boys games and is well known in soccer, Frankie in the Villa club.

I don't want to let my son down who's footie mad and he'd love to see Wayne Rooney.:D

The guy who runs the Man U supporters club works in Barrets shoes in City Square. He is from Arklow and he also runs that branch up there. His name escapes me at this moment, but I will try and find out for you.

Since he is young you would be better bringing him to see Manchester City!

The Waterford Supporters club secretary is Kevin Moore in Dungarvan, always plenty of tickets available or so I hear. (can't find a number for him but I used to be in the supporters club and have a few friends still in it, can get the number if you like, pm me if you need it). I don't think there is a Waterford supporters club in the city or so I'm told.

Crikey this is a blast from the past.

Well he did manage to get to Old Trafford, we went on spec and did the stadium tour the day before a ManU v Aston Villa game and were able to buy tickets for that match at the end of the tour.

A few years back my husband won a trip to Anfield (his team) and brought our son. They flew from Cork, were put up in one of the top hotels in Manchester for 2 nights, taken by private coach to Anfield - parked next to Cisse, had lunch in a corporate box before the match, the team passed the corporate box and waved in to them, then out to dinner in a top restaurant that night and well looked after all weekend including free bar. :D

    That sounds fantastic.

I brought my son on the Anfield tour even though I'm not a Liverpool fan and to this day I find it hard to forgive him for being one but the tour was very good. Just before we came in there was a funeral and they scattered the persons ashes in front of the Kop - so next time you see someone getting tackled in the box and they get a mouthful of sod in their gob - god knows whose ashes they're also after swallowing!!
