and it plays on your DVD player? no problams with this region 1/3 crap?!

It's the same with Lost - I would always wait til the whole season is out in one boxset instead of buying in two parts..it's pointless doing that.
UNLESS: does anyone know if any of the special features on, for example, prison break season1part1 aren't on prison break complete first series?

Excellent. I only got on board with Prison Break a few weeks back, wanted to see the eps I've missed but loath the season splitting. And my dvd player isn't multi-region :(

I also got it for 37 dollars in the states on monday all 22 episodes in a 3 dvd box set.

And yes of course region one will play on most dvd players here.
In fact if you buy a dvd player/recorder that cant you are buying the wrong DVD player.

By the way I've not watched this on TV at all so am I in for a treat?
I intend watching it over a few nights and If I like it,I'll get the cousins to provide the latest epicodes from the states ;)

prison break is best watched all in one go (well obiviously you take breaks but i mean not waiting a week before the next episode and so on).

Most dvd players can play region 1, if not, there might be something you need to do, google the dvd player name + region free

Season splitting is pretty lame but if you'e not buying it what's the harm? If someone wants to purchase the first 11 eps because they missed them before the series ends on tv it might be handy.

Agreed. I raced through the first 13 eps when I only first heard of it. It was great.

Same with 24, and Oz. So many episodes
