Im using broadband for ages now. In the last few days ive noticed that my web browser (Internet explorer) takes alot longer to load pages than it used to. Any idea how i can speed it up to its original speed??

    Cheers in advance

Is it just browsing with IE or have you any other problems (like if you play online gaming or slow downloads)? Give your computer a sweep with some anti-spyware software, Spybot, Ad-aware or Ewido will do fine.

i just ran a scan of adware but it has not sped up IE at all. Download does not seem to be any slower than usual but still loading normal webpages (even ones with feck all images) takes sometimes up to 10secs.

    Any other ideas?

Didn't say what program your using to check for adware mate...

I've found spybot - search and destroy to be a really good program for hunting out spyware and adware (even some viruses like trojans) and it cleared up mine and several of my friends PC's up a treat

Alternatively you can check Task manager > Processes to see how high your CPU is running, if its running high (between 80-100%) then this can cause issues with loading times. Check the processes which are eating your processor and if possible kill them off. I've found that svchost can run a bit high - that may be something to check as well.

SpywareBlaster too, blocks future adware and shizzle, in conjunction with Spybot.

See if your browsing is much faster with Firefox perhaps, if not and it suddenly got slower as you mentioned then maybe there is a fault with your internet, in that case your provider would be the people to contact. Maybe restart your router?
